Effect of slow breathing exercise on heart rate variability in tension-type headache female patients: A time domain analysis

چکیده
Background: Tension-type headache (TTH), the most frequently occurring primary is associated with autonomic dysfunction. Time domain analysis of heart rate variability (HRV) a popular tool to detect changes in cardiac nerve function (CANF) TTH patients. Slow breathing exercise (SBE) can significantly improve HRV patients cardiovascular disorders. Objective: To observe effect SBE on by time female Methods: This quasi-experimental study was conducted from March 2021 February 2022 Department Physiology, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU), Dhaka 60 aged 20-45 years. Thirty performed every morning and evening for 30 minutes addition receiving conventional treatment continued only without any 90 days. age, sex BMI matched apparently healthy control were enrolled who did not perform or other exercise. All subjects assessed at baseline also after parameters recorded Power Lab 8/35 AD Instruments, Australia. One way ANOVA followed post-hoc test Paired sample t-test statistical p<0.05 considered as significance. Results: Mean (HR) higher (p<0.001) SDRR (Standard deviation all RR interval); CVRR (Coefficient variation SDSD successive interval differences between adjacent intervals); RMSSD (Square root mean squared interval) pRR50% (Proportion duration > 50ms) lower compared baseline. Significant decrement HR increment observed days SBE. Again, decreased SDRR, CVRR, SDSD, (p<0.001, p<0.01) Conclusion: may effectively dysfunction J Bangladesh Soc Physiol. 2022, June; 17(1): 56-63

Effect of Exercise Training on Heart Rate Variability in Patients with Heart Failure After Percutaneous Coronary Intervention
Background: This study aims to evaluate the effect of exercise training on heart rate variability (HRV) and to determine the correlation between parameters of HRV and the ejection fraction in patients with heart failure after percutaneous coronary intervention.Material and Methods: Fifty patients with left ventricular ejection fraction ≤ 40% undergone percutaneous coronary intervention were r...
متن کاملImmediate effect of a slow pace breathing exercise Bhramari pranayama on blood pressure and heart rate.
The study was carried out to evaluate the immediate effect Bhramari pranayama, a slow breathing exercise for 5 minutes on heart rate and blood pressure. Heart rate and blood pressure of volunteers were recorded. The subject was directed to inhale slowly up to the maximum for about 5 seconds and then to exhale slowly up to the maximum for about 15 sec keeping two thumbs on two external auditory ...
متن کاملExercise and Heart Rate Variability in Cancer Patients: A Systematic Review
Introduction: Heart rate variability (HRV) is negatively associated with mortality. Decrease in HRV is common in cancer patients. The association between HRV and general survival in cancer patients has made HRV a valuable biomarker for evaluation of the disease prognosis. Exercise is considered an interventional strategy to improve various outcomes in cancer patients. The present paper provides...
متن کاملEffect of Combined Exercise Training on Heart Rate Variability and Aerobic Capacity of Boys with Type 1 Diabetes
Background and Objective: Dysfunction in the autonomic nervous system can cause cardiovascular complications in patients with type 1 diabetes (T1D). The present study aimed to investigate the effect of combined exercise training on heart rate variability (HRV-5min), aerobic capacity (VO2max), and glycemic index in boys with T1D. Materials and Methods: In this semi-experimental research, 24 ado...
متن کاملEffects of Wearing N95 Respirators and Surgical Masks during Progressive Running Exercise and High-Intensity Interval Training on Time- and Frequency-Domain Indicators of Heart Rate Variability
Background and purpose: Wearing face masks has become popular during the COVID-19 pandemic as a measure to prevent the spread of the virus. Some studies have pointed out the intervening role of these masks in the effect of exercise on the cardiovascular system. This study aimed at examining and comparing the effects of masking (N95 respirators and surgical masks) and not wearing a mask during e...
